Cooperation networks

An increasing role in the building of modern economy at the level of the region is played by clusters, i.e. networks of collaboration built by the world of science, public administration, and business. Characteristic features of clusters include intensive interactions between the businesses that form them. Moreover, they are considered engines of economic growth of countries and regions. Making use of the knowledge and experience of the most developed countries, the Kraków Technology Park (KTP) is strongly involved in supporting the bottom-up initiatives of entrepreneurs and scientific institutions.

The company has initiated the establishment of three clusters: Małopolska Information Technologies Cluster, European Games Centre, and Kraków Design Zone. Altogether, the projects, whose mission is to support the development of a relevant industry in our region, gather tens of representatives of Małopolska enterprises, businesses, institutions, and universities.

KTP belongs to both international and Polish networks of collaboration, namely, EBN, IASP, SOOIPP, and KIGEiT. Moreover, it is one of the first parks in Poland to have joined the International Association of Science Parks (IASP) and enjoys the status of a full member of that prestigious body.

Moreover, the KTP is a supporting member of the Polish Business and Innovation Centres Association in Poland (SOOIPP). As a part of the project, the KTP participates in annual conferences gathering Polish experts in innovation and entrepreneurship, and also in other events focused on supporting technology parks.

In 2009, the KTP acceded the highly prestigious European Business and Innovation Centre Network (EBN) and became a member of the Polish Chamber of Commerce for Electronics and Telecommunications (KIGEiT).
